Michael Schwartz Presents: Cuba with Doce Provisions

Published On - 11 Jul, 2023

We hosted our 2nd series dinner on June 13, featuring Chef / Owners, Lisetty Llampalla and Justin Sherrer from Doce Provisions. Guests were welcomed with the option of sparkling Brazos wine from Argentina, or our crowd-favourite Calm Before the Coconut featuring Brugal Rum. Free flowing Brazos Red and White wine options were served during dinner.

The event was co-hosted with Hispanic community leader Marvin Tapia, with 10% of all ticket proceeds from the dinner series going towards Viernes Culturales, a non-profit dedicated to promoting and preserving Hispanic and Latinx arts and culture in Miami’s historic Little Havana neighborhood.

Guests were delighted by the delicious assortment of dishes masterfully crafted by both the Doce Provisions and Amara team, with standouts being the Gougere Cubano made with gruyere, ham, cornichons, mustard, The Fluke Tiradito made with leche de tigre, charred sofrito, smoked salmon roe, The Roasted Jaiba Bisque made with charred vegetable, jumbo lump crab, brandy cream and the Rotisserie Porchetta made with sour orange, cuban oregano sweet plantain purée, sherry caramel.

The unforgettable dining experience had everyone eagerly awaiting the next edition of the monthly dinner series with anticipation.
